Opto Circuits India, a manufacturer of medical diagnostics and cardiac products, has entered into a technology transfer agreement with Elpro Srl of Italy to develop, manufacture, and market different variants of electro cardio graph (ECG) machines.

The agreement covers four ECG machine variants including a handheld version. "We are already making ECG machines as part of our patient monitoring systems. Now, the technology pact with the Italian company will help us to produce the handheld version of the product," a company official said.

Opto Circuits plans to produce the new machine at its Bangalore plant and will introduce in the market in the next three months. It will be exported to Asian and European markets, he said.
