Opto gets USFDA nod for pulse oximeters

Opto Circuits (India), a Bangalore-based manufacturer of health equipment, has received approval from US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market its new generation pulse oximeters in the US.

The new models can store data in memory for later review and documentation, and also features a sleep mode for basic patient sleep screening.

It also enables the data transfer through USB, the company said in a release issued today.
