"We reject the Justice Roa Committee report(on wage revision in public sector companies)," OSOA Convenor Ashok Singh told reporters here.

The Committee, he said, had failed to bridge the gap in the compensation between private players and oil PSUs.

OSOA demanded a minimum basic salary of Rs 50,000 per month at the entry level as against present payment of Rs 12,000. At Board level, it demanded at least Rs 300,000 per month as basic salary as opposed to current pay structure where basic pay is pegged at Rs 28,000.

"We plan to hold a dharna (protest demonstration) in front of the Petroleum Ministry on June 24, followed by a 36 hour hunger strike from June 25. We may go on indefinite strike depending on the outcome (of the agitations)," he said.
