After venturing into handicrafts exports, travel, leisure resorts and hotels, Agra-based Oswal Group is now entering the entertainment industry by setting up a 550-seat auditorium near the Taj Mahal, which will show home-made promotional movies of the Taj Mahal for tourists from next January. |
On Sunday, Group Managing Director Ashok Kumar Jain said the one and a half hour. movie Mohabbat- The Taj, which has been produced by the Oswal Group in 12 international languages, was ready to be released. |
However, before it was formally released in the market, its premier show would be held at the 550-seat auditorium being established by the group close to the Taj Mahal in the first week of January. |
According to Jain, the group's first movie on the Taj Mahal was essentially a musical documentary of the making of the Taj Mahal for which, the group had hired the Bollywood playback singers like Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. |
He said the new auditorium would also display the country's largest model of the Taj Mahal, constructed entirely in white marble by the Oswal Group and this huge scale model would be the centre of attraction for the tourists arriving at the auditorium, which is equipped with Dolby sound systems. |
Jain said the Oswal Group was currently active in the handicraft exports, hospitality and travel segments of tourism and after the auditorium was completed, it would also launch some more promotional products and movies about the Taj Mahal and the lesser known monuments of Agra, which would be displayed and marketed internationally to attract more tourists to the town. |
The preview of the group's first movie was also shown at the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) convention held in Jaipur from September 7 to 10 and had been highly appreciated by the tour operators. |
