OTDC package for Konark festival

The Orissa Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has announced a special tour package for those wishing to visit Konark festival, which is starts from 1 December.

Under the package, the visitors will be taken from OTDC campus in Bhubaneswar at 2.30 pm every day to Konark by air-conditioned bus during the five day long festival.

The tourists will reach Konark by 4 pm and will visit Konark temple and Chandrabhaga among others. After that, they will enjoy the cultural programmes in the open air auditorium to be held at 6 pm. Finally, the tourists will leave Konark after dinner and will reach Bhubaneswar at 10.30pm.

 

This was announced by the state tourism minister Debi Prasad Mishra today. Mishra said, the package fee for the general tourists have been fixed at Rs 330 per head.

However, the students will be offered concessional rate of Rs 310 per head. Those tourists who will not opt for food in the package will be required to pay Rs 235 per head. Similar packages have been arranged from Puri to Konark.

Besides, the state tourism department has come out with 2 separate tour packages-3 days and 3 nights package at a price of Rs 6085 and 5 day and 5 night package at a price of Rs 9545-for visitors wishing to come to the state during this tourist season.
