Oudh Sugar & HNG Q2 results

The Oudh Sugar Mills has recorded a loss after tax of Rs 3.27 crore for the quarter ended September 2009, against a loss of Rs 8.54 crore for the same period last financial year. The company posted a profit before depreciation and tax (PBDT)of Rs 4.75 crore in the quarter under consideration, against a loss of Rs 6.83 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year.

HNG net profit at Rs 40.30crore

Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Ltd has registered an increase of 45 per cent in net profit to Rs 40.30 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2009. Net sales for the quarter remained near flat at Rs 301.66 against Rs 301.88 crore last year. Mukul Somany, joint managing director, Hindusthan National Glass and Industries Ltd said, “Our positive outlook continues in the second half. After a series of acquisitions in the last five years, we are in a phase of consolidation in the domestic market to build on and efficiently deliver from the largest manufacturing capacities in entire glass industry comprising 11 furnaces and 44 production lines along with the widest range of products having downstream applications in the liquor, beer, beverages, pharmaceuticals, processed foods and cosmetics industries.”
