Oudh Sugar Mills today said its net profit fell by 35.13 per cent in the third quarter ended March 31, 2009, to Rs 10.82 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The company had a net profit of Rs 16.68 crore in the March quarter last year, Oudh Sugar Mills said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, net sales of the sugar producer grew to Rs 104.83 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 89.93 crore a year ago.
For the nine-month period ended March 31, 2009, Oudh Sugar Mills posted a net profit of Rs 17.50 crore, while it had a net loss of Rs 1.51 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of Oudh Sugar Mills were trading at Rs 48, down 4.48 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
