Ernst & Young recently sent 450 employees for outdoor training

Training is no more confined to the four walls of a company. Sample this, Ernst & Young, consultancy firm, recently send 450 executives for various recreational programmes from its various centres at Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Reason? Such outdoor programmes help in creating team spirit and team building The programmes were held mostly on weekends and was arranged by Delhi-based outdoor training outfit idiscovery.

The executives had to participate in rock climbing, rafting, spending a day in the jungle, bridge making and various other activities, which are physically challenging as well as mentally stimulating.

 

Gaurav Saklanie, director, idiscoveri told Business Standard that these activities are primarily meant to stimulate executives and in turn has a positive impact on their professional work. These essentially help in team building.
