The Outlook Group has denied any management interference in the editorial operations of Outlook Money, a personal finance magazine it brings out every fortnight. Business Standard carried a report on January 16 stating that Outlook Money’s editor, Monika Halan, had resigned citing management interference and alleging that the management was using the Outlook Money (OLM) Awards to meet its advertising targets.

In a statement, the Outlook Group has clarified that the marketing side of the company is not part of the jury to decide the awards, while the editor of the magazine is always its member. Also, the OLM Awards in contention were given away in October and the editor resigned in January, the statement adds.
