Pan-Indian 5G roll-out soon, will cover all towns by March 2024: Airtel CEO

Bharti Airtel’s roll-out of 5G on a pan-Indian basis will cover every town and key rural areas by March 2024, the company’s chief executive officer and managing director, Gopal Vittal, said in a post-results conference call on Tuesday.

“We intend to launch 5G starting August and extending to a pan-Indian roll-out very soon. Detailed network roll-out plans for 5,000 towns in India are in place,” Vittal stated in a post result conference call on Tuesday.

He, however, did not give the launch date and said the company was yet to decide on pricing its 5G plans.
