Panasonic launches Andriod smartphone at Rs 7,990

Expanding its smartphone portfolio, Japanese electronics major Panasonic today launched an Andriod-based handset for Rs 7,990.

Panasonic T31, the fifth model to be launched since its entry into the Indian market, runs on Android Jelly Bean operating system, has 4-inch WVGA display screen and dual-core processor.

"With our latest offering, we aim to go beyond the metros and cater to our consumers across tier-II/III cities and deliver a remarkable mobile experience to the Indian mass consumers," Panasonic India Managing Director Manish Sharma said in a statement.

He said the company will continue to offer a wide range of phones in India in future also.
