Parag Milk introduces 'Pride of Cows'

Pune based Parag Milk Foods which sells its products under Gowardhan and Go brands and owner of Bhagyalaxmi Dairy has introduced new brand of milk ‘Pride of Cows in Pune market today.

The company is selling this product only by order and online order placements.

It is not available in the market on over the counter basis or through retail chains. The milk is priced at Rs 75 per litre.

The milk is produced by Holstein Friesians breed of cows imported from Germany and Switzerland. The milk brand is already present in Mumbai market from the last one year.

Commenting on this, Devendra Shah, chairman Parag Milk Foods Pvt Ltd, “ After receiving good response in Mumbai, we have decided to introduce this product in Pune. It’s a very special product for us. This farm to home milk is to avoid adulteration and ensures complete hygiene. Pride of Cows is produced on the basis of European Standards. This is the first farm to house initiative in the form of Pride of Cows. It is produced without human interference at Bhagyalaxmi Dairy farm.”

 

The company sells 5000 litres of milk under this brand every day in Mumbai and expected to sell 25000 litres of milk per day in the next one year. It aims the same target for Pune market as well.  

It will be introduced in Delhi, Bangalore and Ahmadabad in the next one year.

The market size of milk in Mumbai is of 55 lakh litres every day whereas in Pune it is of 20 lakh litres. Shah added, ‘The Pride of Cows’ brand will ensure milk that is exceptionally clean and low in bacterial count, which makes it a healthy alternative.

The shelf life of this product is of seven days under standard refrigeration.
