The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 172 acres of land to Yaga guru Baba Ramdev-promoted Patanjali Ayurved Limited for setting up a mega food park in the north coastal district of Vizianagaram.

The land allotment orders comes in less than two months after the company has formally submitted an application in connection with the proposed facility. The company plans to develop the facility with an initial capacity of 200,000 tonnes per annum, which would be further expandable to 300,000 tonnes, at an investment of Rs 500 crore.
