PEC invites bids for import of 12,000 MT of edible oil

State-owned PEC has invited bids for import of 12,000 MT of edible grade of RBD Palmolein oil. The tender, which invites imports of edible oils produced in Malaysia and/or Indonesia, closes on April 19.
    
According to the tender notice, about 8,500 MT of the edible oil has to be shipped to Chennai port, while the remaining (3,500 MT) has to be imported to Tuticorin.
    
The consignment should be shipped in by the last week of May 2010, the notice added.
