Kerala-based Peekay Steel Castings (P) Ltd is aiming at a sales turnover of Rs 1,000 crore during the next three years, a company official said.
The company manufactures and supplies steel castings to many of the country's navaratna companies and global OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) in the oil, gas, power, transportation, earth-moving and engineering sectors, K E Shanavaz, Joint Managing Director, Peekay Steel, told reporters here last night.
The company makes steel castings with piece weights ranging between half-a-kilo and 15 tonnes, he said, adding, the firm's castings are exported globally including the US, Europe, Far East, the Middle East and South Korea.
Peekay Steel Castings, the flagship company of the reputed Peekay group, commenced manufacture of steel castings in 1997, he said.
Kerala had achieved a growth of 170% in terms of export of engineering goods in 2012-13 and Peekay Steel has a significant role in it, Shanavaz said.
The company has two foundries in Kozhikode and one in Coimbatore.
The company had recently bagged the Engineering Export Promotion Council's Regional Export award (2011-12) for quality excellence, he added.
