Peninsula net up 62% to Rs 55 crore
Ashok Piramal Group’s realty arm Peninsula Land has posted a 62 per cent increase in its net profit in the second quarter of this financial year due to pre-sales in the last financial year. The company posted a net profit of Rs 55 crore in the second quarter of FY09 compared with Rs 34 crore on a y-o-y basis. However, the net sales have gone down 5 per cent during the period to Rs 111 crore as against Rs 117 crore last year.
eClerx net doubles to Rs 14 crore
eClerx, a KPO firm, more than doubled its net profit to Rs 14.07 crore for Q2 ended September 30, 2008, thanks to huge volume growth from its existing top clients. Net profit rose 115 per cent from Rs 6.53 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year. Revenues for the quarter have also doubled to Rs 49.09 crore from Rs 25.25 crore y-o-y.
India Infoline PAT up 12% to Rs 40 crore

Financial services firm India Infoline has posted a consolidated profit-after-tax (PAT) of Rs 40.21 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008, up 12 per cent compared with the year-ago period. Total income has risen by 42 per cent to Rs 276.68 crore from Rs 195.3 crore on a y-o-y basis.
MphasiS Q2 net up 112.8% to Rs 141 cr
IT services provider MphasiS Group recorded a jump of 112.8 per cent in its net profit to Rs 141.1 crore with the inclusion of new clients in manufacturing, retail and banking and financial service verticals for the second quarter ended September 30, 2008 compared to the same period during the previous year. The firm’s top line saw a jump of 39 per cent to Rs 836.1 crore.
