Sports marketing and talent management agency Percept Sport today said it has bagged the sales and marketing rights for sponsorship of the IPL team Sahara Pune Warriors.

"Sahara Pune Warriors, the latest entrant in the Indian Premier League has awarded its exclusive sponsorship mandate to Percept Sport," Percept Sport said in a statement.

A joint team of Sahara Corporate Communications and Percept Sport would spearhead the initiative of raising sponsorships and managing it, the company said in a statement.

It, however, did not disclose the tenure of the contract and also the financials involved.

"We have had a long standing relationship with Percept over the years and when this opportunity came up, this was logical," Sahara Adventure Sports Director Abhijit Sarkar said.

Commenting on the deal, Percept Sports and Entertainment CEO Devraj Sanyal said: "We are extremely excited at the opportunity and would look at ensuring our partners work with the Sahara Pune Warriors for a long and mutually beneficial association."

Sahara Pune Warriors is one of the two latest teams to enter the IPL fray and it had signed up players, including Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthapa, Ashish Nehra and South African captain Graeme Smith.
