FMCG major Dabur India today announced the appointment of Peter Gerard Baker as the Chief Executive Officer for its newly-formed retail subsidiary H&B Stores. Prior to this posting, Baker was the group head of retail of Lee Cooper group and was responsible for over 450 stores around the world. He will look after the new retail initiatives of Dabur India, including establishment of the new subsidiary and the stores in the country, the company said in a release here. "I look forward to working with Peter Baker closely, as we exploit new market opportunities and capitalise on the strong momentum already evident in the business," Dabur India chief executive officer Sunil Duggal said. Dabur India will invest Rs 140 crore by 2010 to establish its presence in the retail market in India with a chain of stores on the Health & Beauty format and is planning to set up 350 retail stores across India in the next five years. It would further expand it to over 1,000 stores by 10th year of operation, the company said. |
