Pidilite Industries has posted a rise of 158 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 85.54 crore for the quarter ended September 30 compared with Rs 33.16 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year. The company's net sales during the period stood at Rs 507.20 crore against Rs 478.41 crore last year, up 6.02 per cent.
The company benefitted from the low raw material costs which dropped to Rs 170.64 crore during the quarter against Rs 218.96 crore last year.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company's share prices traded strong at Rs 163.7 up 3.35 per cent at IST 1000.
