Piramal Enterprises net up 89%

The company's total revenue rose 34% at Rs 1,734 crore during Q4 FY2016, against Rs1,298 crore during Q4 FY2015

Diversified group Piramal Enterprises posted an 89% jump in net profit for the fourth quarter to Rs 180 crore, compared with Rs 95 crore for the fourth quarter of FY15.

The company's total revenue rose 34% at Rs 1,734 crore during Q4 FY2016, against Rs1,298 crore during Q4 FY2015.

Among other businesses, the company's income from financial services grew highest at 112% at Rs 559 crore for Q4 FY2016. "The growth in income was primarily driven by increase in size of loan book. Loan book grew by 174% to Rs 13,048 crore as on March 31, 2016, versus Rs 4,766 crore as on March 31, 2015," it said in a release.

 

In Q4 FY16, revenue from the healthcare division came in at Rs 955 crore, compared with Rs 836 crore in Q4 FY2015; a growth of 14% YoY.
