Piramal Healthcare today said it has received approval from the Registrar of Companies to change its name to Piramal Enterprises Ltd.
"Accordingly, the name of the company stands changed from 'Piramal Healthcare Limited' to 'Piramal Enterprises Limited' with effect from July 31, 2012," Piramal Healthcare said in a filing to BSE.
Company has received fresh certificate of incorporation consequent upon change of name dated July 31, 2012, from the RoC, Mumbai, approving the change of name, it added.
Earlier in April this year the company's board had approved to change the name of the firm to Piramal Enterprises Ltd "in order to appropriately reflect its changed business profile".
On July 19, it had received shareholders approval for the name change.
Shares of Piramal Healthcare today closed at Rs 525.20 on BSE, up 1.91% from its previous close.
