Pithampur power unit to come up with road funds

Pithampur Auto Cluster Ltd (PACL) has planned to set up its own power generation and distribution system of 2 Mw through the conversion of an amount of Rs 8 crore allocated for road construction.
 
However, its board has dropped roping in the Indian Institute of Management, Indore for training, Pithampur Audyogik Sangthan (PAS) has said.
 
"Our plan is to create a network for power distribution so that we can offer power to industry at lower tariff," Gautam Kothari, president, Pithampur Audyogik Sangathan said. PAS is an equity partner in the PACL.
 
PACL is an SPV created to facilitate Pithampur auto industry on various fronts, including testing, training, designing, tool room and marketing.
 
PACL has been formed under the Centre's industrial infrastructure upgrade scheme launched by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion and Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
 
It is taking shape on the premises of closed units of the Madhya Pradesh Industries Corporation.
