Travellers planning their holidays may find their choice becoming easier.

Travel Masters India Corporation (TMIC), a Mumbai-based travel management company, recently launched multi-brand stores in 10 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. The stores, called ‘Explore — The Holiday Superstore’, will house leading tour operators such as Thomas Cook, Cox and Kings, Cosmos Globus and Royal Caribbean and travellers can plan and choose their packages from any of these brands.

“Our idea was to introduce a concept into the travel and tourism industry in India. The Indian customer today is spoilt for choice and wishes to choose his holiday from a single store, among products in the same brand space,” said TMIC Vice-president Daniel D’Souza.

The superstore offers shoppers the opportunity to compare, analyse holiday packages across tour operators and make the right buying decision, whether for a cruise or an adventure holiday.

The company is looking at setting up over 70 similar stores throughout the country, including five more in Mumbai alone.

The operators will also offer escorted and customised holiday packages to the customers.

D’Souza added, “We are looking at creating more of these multi-brand concept stores. Stores would be at prime locations and easily accessible and convenient to customers at metros, mini-metros and small towns. TMIC is looking at setting up 60-75 stores in the next one year.”

According to D’Souza, the company is looking at rolling out the stores in phases in locations based on the business potential, feasibility and working with partners.
