Posco-India, participating in the ongoing Hannover Messe, Germany, is using it as a platform to showcase its India project and attract more investment in Orissa for the ancillary industries required for the proposed mega steel project in the state.

"By highlighting the India project in the fair, Posco will help put Orissa on the fast track path to industrialisation and attract more investment opportunities," Soung-Sik Cho, the chairman and managing director of Posco-India, representing Posco at Hannover, said.

The Posco-India stall at the Orissa Pavilion of the fair has display panels on the India project and ancillary industries. Ancillary industries being showcased include ship-building, coal-chemicals, cement and refractories.

This year, India is Germany's partner country at Hannover, the world's largest trade fair and leading international showplace for industrial technologies, materials and product ideas. The fair started today and will go on till April 28, 2006.
