Praj Industries announces Maha-Intrapreneur Awards winners

Praj Industries, a player in biofuels, brewery, process equipment and water and waste water treatment solutions, announced the winners of the 'Maha-Intrapreneur Awards 2010'.

Out of a batch of highly qualified and motivated contestants, six most promising intrapreneurs were selected by a distinguished jury panel. Applications were received from locations as spread out as Ahmednagar, Nashik, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Thane, Kolhapur and Nagpur, apart from Mumbai and Pune. The Maha-Intrapreneur awards aim at identifying and rewarding professionals who display intrapreneural skills and qualities in their actions and results in their respective organisations. The awards have been instituted by Praj in association with Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune.

 

While the lifetime achievement award was conferred upon internationally acclaimed scientist Dr Vijay Bhatkar, Uday Godbole, director, Abiocr Binzel Production (India) Pvt. Ltd and Avinash Purandare, vice president and head corporate global marketing and strategy, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd were announced as category A winners.

The next category B for NGOs, semi government, society and trusts saw two winners-Dr Girish Kulkarni, director, Snehalaya, Pune and Dr Madhav Sathe, joint secretary, The Bombay Mothers And Children Welfare Society, Mumbai. Winners of the ‘Women Intrapreneur Awards' were Mandakini Awasarmol from Morarjee Textiles Ltd, Nagpur and Kalpana Pant, joint director, Chaitanya, Pune. Each category A awardee has won fellowship of maximum of Rs 1 lakh to attend an executive development programme from any reputed institute in India apart from the trophy, while category B awardees get a certificate of appreciation and Rs 1 lakh.
