Pratibha CRFG JV, a joint venture between Pratibha Industries and China Rail First Group, today said it has bagged Rs 467 crore order from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The scope of work for this project includes designing, engineering and construction of two sections of underground twin tunnels for the Metro Phase III project of DMRC, Pratibha Industries said in a statement.

Infrastructure firm Pratibha Industries has the majority stake in Pratibha CRFG JV.

"One section is from Janpath to Mandi House and the second section is from Janpath to Central Secretariat, including the construction of one station at Janpath and extension of a station at Mandi House," the company said.

Pratibha Industries said that two high-end "Tunnel Boring Machines" would be deployed for excavating the tunnels. The bottom level of the tunnel and station would be at a depth of about 25 metres from the original ground level.

"The field construction is expected to commence in the first week of July 2011 and the project is scheduled to be completed in 36 months," the statement said.
