Praveen Toshniwal was today elected as the Chairman and Pradeep Bhargava as the Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Western Region, for 2011-12.
Toshniwal is the Chairman of Nivo Controls Pvt Ltd and also the Managing Director of Toshbro Controls Pvt Ltd. These companies are engaged in developing, manufacturing, marketing and exporting process control instruments, a press release issued here stated.
Toshniwal was the Deputy Chairman of the CII Western Region Council for the year 2010-11. He has been the Chairman of the CII Madhya Pradesh State Council, CII Malwa Zonal Council and a CII Western Region MSME Sub-Committee and Member, CII National MSME Council.
He has been very active with CII and has facilitated numerous initiatives in development of MSMEs, the release said.
Pradeep Bhargava, elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Western Region for 2011-12, is the Managing Director of Cummins Generator Technologies India.
Under his leadership, the company has been demonstrating a strong growth performance, establishing itself as a market leader in the alternator business in India and a major player globally, the release said.
He has worked with organisations like the Indian Space Research Organisation, Atomic Energy Commission, Electronics Commission, Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL), UNDP, World Bank and Kalyani Group. He was the CEO of the Lighting Business of General Electric, Bangalore prior to joining Cummins.
Bhargava was the Chairman of CII Pune Zonal Council during 2004-05 and CII Maharashtra State Council during 2008-09.
