Bollywood production house Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC) and DQ Entertainment (DQE), a Hyderabad-based animation, gaming and VFX company, have entered into an agreement to develop and produce six movies in the next four years. The cost of production for the movies will be Rs 180-200 crore ($45-50 million). |
The agreement will see the two companies producing movies both in animation and live action, targeted at a global audience. |
Each project will be announced separately after the budgets are finalised. |
"DQ is a world leader in high-end animation and film content space. The range and quality of their work has impressed us. We are also exploring gaming extensions, including comic book spin-offs, for all platforms to be co-produced with DQE," Pritish Nandy, Chairman of PNC, said in a press release. |
In February, DQE entered into a similar agreement with content creation and distribution company Percept Picture Company (PPC) to produce three animation films with an estimated of Rs 100 crore ($25 million). |
Two will be mythological films and one will be a Bollywood masala flick. |
