Protivity enters Indian Shores

US-based Protiviti Inc, provider of internal audit, business and technology risk consulting services, has launched operations in India with the opening of offices in Mumbai and New Delhi.

The launch is a part of the company's strategy to cater to global organisations.

"The Protiviti team of local and global experienced leaders and professionals are positioned to serve India-based companies as well as global clients in a range of complex risk management areas, including financial due diligence, corporate governance and regulatory compliance," said Gary Peterson, managing director of Protiviti's Asia Pacific offices and global business expansion strategy.

Protiviti has launched its operations in India with a core group of 12 employees in Mumbai and New Delhi.

These new locations are a part of the company's worldwide expansion during the past 12 months, during which the company has opened offices in Mexico, Brazil, Germany and the Netherlands.

The company will operate in India as Protiviti Consulting Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Protiviti Inc. Leading Protiviti's India operations is Managing Director Mritunjay Kapur.

"We will be expanding the staff from amongst the best professionals in India. With our expertise and reach, our aim is to provide innovative and outstanding business and technology risk, transaction support and internal audit solutions to companies and organisations across a wide array of industries," he said.
