PTC financial arm raises Rs 100 cr via bonds

PTC India Financial Services, an arm of Power Trading Corp, today said it has raised Rs 100 crore (one billion) by issuance of bonds.

"PTC India Financial Services Limited (PFS) has raised Rs 1 billion through the issue of non-convertible bonds," a company statement said.

The bond, which has been issued to investors including banks, co-operative banks, employees' provident fund and individuals have a tenure of 5 years, it said.

The bonds are proposed to be listed at the National Stock Exchange.

PFS has total net worth of over Rs 600 crore. It has sanctioned Rs 521 crore and Rs 721 crore in the form of equity and debt, during the current financial year and 2008-09 respectively, to various power projects for a total capacity of more than 7,000 Mw.

 

PFS' investment portfolio comprises power exchange, wind turbine manufacturing unit, and power projects based on coal, bio-mass, wind and solar.
