PTC Financial Services sanctions Rs 521 cr in July 09

PTC Financial Services, investment arm of state-run Power Trading Corp, has sanctioned Rs 521 crore for funding power projects in the country.

"PTC Financial Services, has sanctioned Rs 521 crore to power projects in July, 2009," a company statement said, adding this included Rs 105 crore in the form of equity participation and Rs 416 crore in the form of long-term and short-term debt financing.

The assistance would help in meeting requirements of seven projects entailing an estimated investment of Rs 16,750 crore leading to the creation of 3,350 Mw of capacity.

In 2008-09, PTC Financial Services has sanctioned Rs 721 crore in the form of equity as well as debt.

 

The company's portfolio of investment includes power exchange, a wind turbine manufacturing unit and power projects based on coal, biomass, wind and solar.
