Pune-based Palash Healthcare unveils Swarm HIE

Palash Healthcare, a IT Solutions provider for the healthcare segment, today unveiled 'Swarm HIE', a Health Information Exchange (HIE) Platform. This platform will manage, share and update the healthcare records of individuals by creating an appropriate ecosystem by integrating the key elements of the healthcare industry.

Swarm HIE platform will primarily consist of three modules including Palash practice (Doctor's Console), Palash Fingertips (a patient portal) and consulting connect (an online healthcare platform for every element of healthcare), all this will create an ecosystem with state-of-the-art interoperability, said the company.

Palash Practice since commencement of its operations in last four months has 2,500 providers of which 2,000 are individual practitioners and 500 are small and medium sized hospitals and nursing homes have signed up as members of Swarm HIE with intention of moving their Practice Management function on Palash Practice.

Narendra Barhate, founder director of Palash Healthcare, "Swarm HIE will have the ability to send and receive secure information electronically between care providers to support coordinated care. Secondly, it will enable healthcare providers to find and / or request information on a patient from other healthcare providers that can be used in emergencies. In addition, it will empower the individuals / patients to aggregate and control the use of their health information among providers and payers."
