Punj Lloyd today said it has bagged a Rs 321 crore contract from Yemgas, for civil works at the LNG project in Yemen. The contract involves civil, mechanical, electrical and painting work for off sites and utilities of the Yemen LNG project from Yemgas, a joint venture formed by French Technip France, Japanese JGC Corporation and UK-based Kellogg- Brown and Root Inc, Punj Lloyd informed the BSE. The project would be completed in 28 months, it added. "Construction of cryogenic facilities is the core competence of Punj Lloyd and a select few in the world undertake such specialised works. This is an important milestone for Punj Lloyd. We have been looking at expanding our geographies and this order would help us further strengthen our foothold in the Middle East," Atul Punj, chairman of Punj Lloyd, said. The project is being executed for Yemen LNG Company, the company formed by TOTAL, Yemen Gas Company, Hund Oil Exxon, Sunkyong and Hyundai, it said. |
