Punjab CII Prez demands check on crude oil prices

Sharma said that Forging Industry and Steel Re-Rolling Mills that are solely dependent on furnace oil has been facing the heat as prices of crude oil has hit the roof top in recent past.

He said that while furnace oil that  was the ultimate residue of crude after distilling petrol and diesel was being sold at Rs 37/- a litre, diesel after the price  hike would be sold at Rs 35.76 a litre, still Rs 1.24 less than crude oil.
 
Sharma demanded that government should be equally sensitive towards prices of crude oil as it is with petrol and diesel prices, otherwise it could be big blow for the industries.
