Press Trust Of India New Delhi
Connect Broadband Service, a wholly owned subsidiary of HFCL Infotel, today announced its strategic tie-up with Star India Private Ltd to carry its content on the former's broadband services in Punjab.

This will be a step forward towards triple play by telecom operators offering voice, data and cable on a single line.

"This partnership will enable both the brands to provide digital content and other IP-based services such as video-on-demand, pay-per-view and others that will enrich the customer experience like never before in the Indian market."

Connect Broadband Services Ltd is rolling out broadcast services in Punjab and Chandigarh currently, which will be extended to other states over the next few months.

The cable broadcast network has also enabled the launch of "triple play services" positioning Connect as the first telecom operator to launch such a service in the country.
