Punjab Tractors Q4 net up 26%

Punjab Tractors Ltd (PTL) today reported a 26.19 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 21.10 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared with Rs 16.72 crore in the corresponding quarter in 2003-04. Total revenues increased 26.47 per cent to Rs 236 crore (Rs 186.6 crore).

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 5.50 per share subject to approval of the shareholders. The company posted a 49.69 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 62.9 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005, as compared to Rs 42.02 crore in the previous financial year. Total revenues has increased to Rs 863 crore (Rs 603.3 crore).

Supreme Petro Q3 net rises 61%

Supreme Petrochem's net profit rose 61 per cent at Rs 22.68 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2005, compared with Rs 14.07 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. Gross sales (less excise duty) climbed up by 14 per cent at Rs 409.38 crore (Rs 357.16 crore). The board has declared an interim dividend of 12 per cent.
