R-Infra inks pact for Rs 3K-cr Delhi-Agra highway

The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) firm Reliance Infrastructure (R-Infra) today said it has signed an agreement with NHAI for developing the Rs 3,000-crore Delhi-Agra highway project.

"R-Infra has signed a concession agreement for six-laning of the 180-km stretch of the Delhi-Agra road project," the company said in a statement. The total project cost is Rs 3,000 crore, widening of the road into six-lanes will entail an investment of Rs 1,957 crore, it added.

R-Infra, one of the largest private sector players in the highways sector, which is developing 11 road projects with the National Highways Authority entailing Rs 12,000 crore investment, said it "plans to have a road portfolio of over Rs 25,000 crore by FY12".

 

The company said it is eying on mega highways projects across the cpuntry and would have nine revenue generating road projects by the end of the current fiscal. Its infrastructure portfolio is about Rs 45,000 crore, a company spokesperson said.
