R K Marble eyes booming Gujarat construction sector

The Ajmer-based R K Marble Pvt Ltd, which claims to be one of the largest producers of marbles in the world, has decided to tap booming construction indusry in the state.
 
The company, which hopes to generate over 15 per cent of the total turnover from the state market, plans to increase the number of dealers to eight from the current four in Gujarat.
 
"Gujarat's booming real estate sector is a big market for us. Infrastructure activities in this region is growing rapidly, giving significant impetus to our industry. Being the industry leader in marble production and with our capacity expansion plans on card, we are ready to tap the existing and the emerging market in the region," said Vineet Patni, director, R K Marble.
 
The company has set up a state-of-the-art pre-polished marble slab plant at Kisangarh at Ajmer district in Rajasthan with an investment of Rs 15 crore. The company plans to invest Rs 20 crore into this plant, and Rs 5 crore in its processing facility at Madhya Pradesh.
 
"Marble in India has always been a high-end product. But R K Marble's success is that we have made it a product accessible to the majority of the people. In our continuous endeavor to provide our customers newer, superior products, we have introduced Wonder Marble in the market," said R K Gupta, vice-president, sales and marketing of R K Marble.
 
The company has over 51 associate traders to market its products across the country, including four traders in Gujarat. The company plans to enhance its associate traders to over 65 by the end of the current financial year.
 
"We boast of the latest techniques in mining using the latest gadgets, imported from all across the globe, leading to maximum production and least wastage," said Patni.
