Riding over robust sales of two of its popular brands '8PM Whisky' and 'Magic Moments Vodka', spirits maker Radico Khaitan today reported a 55.52 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 10.70 crore for the first quarter ended on June 30, 2009.
The company had a net profit of Rs 6.88 crore in the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2008, Radico Khaitan said in a statement.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 274.38 crore in the latest quarter, against Rs 223.62 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, it added.
"We are expecting a topline growth of 20 per cent in terms of value and 25 per cent in terms of volume in the current fiscal," Radico Khaitan Chairman & Managing Director Lalit Khaitan told PTI.
The company has concentrated on its mainline brands which have grown by 26 per cent and the total brand portfolio has grown by 20 per cent, he added.
During the quarter under consideration, Radico Khaitan has recorded an increase of 27 per cent in sales of 8PM Whisky and 47 per cent in sales of Magic Moments Vodka.

The company has sold 11 lakh cases of 8PM Whisky in the said period against 8.78 lakh cases a year ago.
Shares of Radico Khaitan today closed at Rs 90.30 on BSE, up by .84 per cent.
