Radico Khaitan Q4 net up 81% at Rs 17 cr

Liquor maker Radico Khaitan today said its net profit rose by 81.2 per cent to Rs 17.4 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal.

The company had a reported a net profit of Rs 9.6 crore in the same period last fiscal, Radico Khaitan said in a statement.

The company's net sales for the fourth quarter rose to Rs 333.8 crore as compared to 297.7 crore as compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company posted a net profit of Rs 72.8 crore, compared to Rs 41.5 crore in the previous fiscal.

 

Commenting on the results, Radico Khaitan Ltd CMD Lalit Khaitan said: "We had a strong performance in FY2011 as a result of our continued focus on the premiumisation of our portfolio".

The company's net sales rose to Rs 1,330.6 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011 as against Rs 1,147.1 crore in the previous fiscal.

Shares of Radico Khaitan today closed at Rs 138.35 on Bombay Stock Exchange, down 0.57 per cent from the previous close.
