Swiss watch brand Rado is planning to launch 14 stores in India and 30 more watches by the end of 2008. |
Currently it has six stores in India and over 200 watches. |
At the inauguration of its first exclusive outlet in Kolkata, Christian Leiggener, regional sales manager of Rado India, said, "We are looking at more exclusive outlets in Kolkata and are in talks with a few more shopping malls. All our stores will be franchise outlets." |
"Rado India has witnessed 35 per cent growth in sales year on year and we expect this trend to continue. Going by this, India is likely to be among the top ten countries for Rado by 2009," Leiggener added. Currently China is the biggest revenue earner for the company, followed by USA, Germany and Switzerland, while India ranks among the top 15. |
The company also plans to launch 30 more watches in India by end of 2008. These would be available between Rs 20,000 and Rs 70,000. |
