Rado Watches to open boutiques

Rado Watches of Switzerland, famous for its costliest range of the quality watches in the world, will open its exclusive boutiques in India to boost its sale from the country.
 
"We have decided to open exclusive Rado boutiques in major cities of India by the end of this year to expand sale in the country" Christian Leiggener, regional sales manager, who along with the brand Ambassador and model-turned-film actress Lisa Ray, was here in the city to promote sales of Rado watches, told reporters.
 
He revealed Rado Watches has its 120 outlets in India and the company has planned to open at least 20 more outlets in the country.
 
"We are in the process of expansion and as far as India is concerned, we got very good response and while keeping in the view the same, the company has decided to open at least twenty more outlets in the near future" he added.
 
Asked about the turn over the company, Christian denied to disclose the same and said that the company has maintained quality of the products, which differentiate us from other players in the market.
 
"Currently Rado, which has about total outlets of 8000 in the world, manufactures watches from the range of Rs 12000 to Rs 3. 5 Lakh but in India the maximum sale is in the range of up to Rs 56000 only".
 
On a query whether the Rado watches has any plan to collaborate with any Indian company to manufacture the watches in the country, he ruled out the same and said that Rado has never collaborated with any company of the world and struck for its manufacturing base only in Switzerland.
 
Christian Lieggener revealed that Company would be the main sponsor of forthcoming French Open Tennis Championship to be held in India in May 2006.
 
"Rado has been associated with French Open Championship for the last ten years and for the next championship to be held in India, we have already made all arrangements to make the even very exciting" he added..
 
Lisa Ray, Brand Ambassador of Rado, did not mince any words in the praise of the company and said that most important for the company was that it adds feather in the caps of its customers as far as the status is concerned.
 
Asked about her next film in the hands, Lisa Ray, who was last seen in the movie 'Hollywood and Bollywood" revealed that she was already working the Deepa Mehta's new movie, "Water" and said that the same would be telecast during the forthcoming Toronto International Film Festival in September.
 
Terming the film as "an Indian movie with Hollywood style" she said that by the end of the year the film, which is a bilingual one (in Hindi and English) would be released in India by the end of the year.
 
About the controversy due to criticism of Hindu fundamentalists for the movie, Lisa preferred to keep mum and said that it would be the best people should themselves judge whether the film needed such type of controversy or not.
 
On pointed that whether she got any call "threatening" from the film actor Salman Khan, who was currently in the helm of controversy due to his alleged confession about his alleged links with underworld, Lisa in a lighter vein said that "Salman is good friend of mine and I only got charming calls from him, not the threatening ones".
