Kernex Microsystems India, a Hyderabad-based railway safety product manufacturer, today announced that Indian Railways would be deploying its anti-collision device (ACD) across its network by 2013. According to a release issued be Kernex to the BSE today, the survey of over 10,000 kilometres for deployment of the ACD system is in progress. Kernex has been involved in executing the ACD pilot project for the North Frontier Railways over the last three years, and the site acceptance tests have been completed in April 2007. Kernex entered the capital market in November 2005, and the IPO proceeds, amounting to Rs 99 crore, has been utilised for setting up a manufacturing base for ACDs, auto driving devices (ADDs) and special signalling systems used by the Indian Railways. |
