| Rains hit several industries in Nashik |

| Heavy rains that lashed Nashik for five consecutive days last week did not spare industries located in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) areas of the city. Around 18 industrial units in Ambad MIDC were badly affected, and production at various companies were also affected due to non-availability of components. The daily production at the Nashik facility of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) in Satpur MIDC, which manufactures Scorpio and Bolero, was reduced by nearly 100 units daily for four consecutive days from Monday to Thursday (August 7-10) due to non-availability of components from vendors.
