Rajesh Exports bags GJEPC awards, LIC order

Rajesh Exports has won awards for the highest exports in plain gold jewellery and plain precious metal jewellery exports from Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) for the 9th consecutive year.

According to releases issued by Rajesh Exports to the BSE today, the company has also bagged an order for 33,000 gold coins from Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

Prashant Mehta, MD of the company, received the awards from the chief guest, Kamal Nath, Minister Of Commerce on the occasion of the 33rd Annual Awards Function of the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) at Kolkata held on November 25, 2006.

The company has consistently been the largest exporter of gold jewellery from India, for last 12 years, a release said.

The LIC order is for a total of 264 kgs of gold coins valued at about Rs 25 crore. The coins are required to be manufactured and delivered by February 11, 2007, a company release added.
