Rajesh Exports bags Rs 12 cr order

Rajesh Exports has bagged an order worth Rs 12.40 crore of 22 carat jewellery from Singapore-based jewellery manufacturer, Gold Star Jewellery.
 
The order will be executed at the company's manufacturing facility in Bangalore, which is the world's largest jewellery manufacturing facility spread over a 12-acre land, with a built-up area of 500,000 sq ft. The manufacturing facility has an installed capacity to process 250 tonne of jewellery per annum.
 
"This order gains significance as it is for the supply of designer jewellery, which provides better bottomline margins," Rajesh Mehta, executive chairman, Rajesh Exports said.
 
Founded in 1990, Rajesh Exports is the world leader in the manufacturing, export and wholesaling of gold and diamond jewellery segment.
 
The company has a marketing presence in USA, UK, UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, Australia and the entire south India.
 
With a central government recognised "Five Star Export House" status, the company has established the world's largest jewellery manufacturing facility at Bangalore.
 
Its products are renowned for quality, a result of its focus on establishing world-class infrastructure and manufacturing process.
 
The company reported Rs 424.71 crore turnover and Rs 2 crore net profit for the financial year (FY) 2004-05. Net sales and net profit for the first quarter of the current FY were reported at Rs 117.23 crore and Rs 1.69 crore respectively.
