Rajiv to be Bajaj Auto MD from April 1

The board of directors of Bajaj Auto today appointed Rajiv Bajaj, the current joint managing director of the company, as the managing director for a term of five years w.e.f April 1, 2005.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, Rahul Bajaj, whose current term as chairman and managing director expires on March 31, 2005, has been appointed as the chairman for a fresh term of five years commencing April 1, 2005.

"Madhur Bajaj, whose current term as vice-chairman expires on November 5, 2005, has been re-appointed vice-chairman for a fresh term up to March 31, 2010," the release added.
