Further, the board also envisaged plans to boost medical tourism by offering bouquet of affordable medication to the NRI clients settled across the globe. |
"Our objective is to fight the competition from the the 'big boys' who are entering the city with state-of-the-art medication facilities," said Hemang Vasavada, neurologist and director of the hospital. |
This hospital shall be sprawling across 4,000 yards with 45,000 square feet of construction and is estimated to cost about Rs 2 crore, he added. |

To meet the requirements of our patients for other allied services we have also planned an in-built laboratory, blood-bank, X-Ray, sonography, colour doppler, CT scan, in-house pharmacy and so on," he said. |
D V Mehta, director of the hospital, said, "In our initial level, we are planning to provide medication facilities 20 per cent cheaper than the existing rates in the market, later on as the scene develops we would sort out the matter." |
"We have all plans to market it to the NRIs, with allied services like hospitality, money exchange counters, ATMs, travel desk, accommodation facilities etc," said Mehta. |
Tie-up with tour operators for taking relatives of patients coming from abroad on tourist trails shall be equally taken care of once we are ready with the hospital, he added. |
