Ramanasree to invest Rs 100 crore in South

Ramanasree Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), a sister company of Ramanasree Logistics, will invest Rs 100 crore during the current financial year to expand its edible oil business in south India.

Announcing the launch of company’s first FMGC brand — Vashi sunflower oil, OV Ramana, chairman and managing director of RCPL, said, “Once the brand is established, we will move towards other consumer products like coconut oil, atta, iodised salt and other edible products.”

The company expects to sell 8,000-9,000 tonne oil in a month.

Vashi refined sunflower oil will be available in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala in a phased manner. Currently, it is available in a one-litre pouch and a five-litre PET bottle.

 

Ramanasree Logistics Private Limited, a logistics company in south India, has 23 branches in the country with a revenue of Rs 250 crore per annum.
