Ramco Systems, global provider of business consulting, enterprise solutions and outsourcing services, posted global net profit of Rs 17.67 crore for the third quarter ending December 31,2007 compared to a loss of Rs 12.11 crore during the corresponding period last year. |
Total third quarter global revenues, including revenue from subsidiaries in USA, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia and South Africa, stood at Rs 44.84 crore compared to Rs 45.36 crore in December 2006. For the nine month period, net profit stood at Rs 17.98 crore compared to a loss of Rs 21.32 crore during the corresponding period in 2006. |
Cranes Software net up 39% driven by product revenues |

The Bangalore-headquartered company posted a 39.47 per cent growth in its net profit to Rs 31.38 crore for the quarter ended 31 December, 2007, as compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal, on a consolidated basis. |
The company's total revenue in the third quarter of FY2007-08 at Rs 103.92 crore, increased by 45 per cent on year-on-year basis. The company's revenues from overseas grew at 55 per cent to Rs 86.39 crore, constituting 82 per cent of their total revenues in the quarter. |
Puravankara Projects bottomline zooms 122% |
Bangalore-based Puravankara Projects with better realisation and low administration cost has reported a 121.98 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 63.11 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to the corresponding previous quarter. |
The company's revenues was also up 78.46 per cent to Rs 150.52 crore for the third quarter. |

Nagarjuna Const net up 5% |
Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCCL) reported a 4.7 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 39.64 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007, compared with Rs 37.85 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year. |
Turnover for the quarter grew 11.57 per cent to Rs 781 crore, compared with Rs 700 crore in the corresponding previous quarter. Earnings per share stood at Rs 1.74 during the third quarter under review as compared with Rs 1.83 in the corresponding previous quarter. |
"Our net profit and turnover during the quarter were sluggish on account of client-related delays in terms of land acquisition among other things. But these things have been sorted and we will come out with a far better results in the fourth quarter," YD Murthy, senior vice-president (Finance), NCCL, told Business Standard. |
